Krystal Anthony, a Dekalb County native, started playing softball at the age of seven. She later transitioned into travel ball where she competed in several national tournaments.
 

She also was a member of the Atlanta Braves RBI softball team winning the World Series in 2004 and 2005. After graduating from Lithonia High School, she attended South Carolina State University on an athletic scholarship as an infielder.
 

While pursuing her master’s degree, she was a graduate assistant coach at Claflin University and a volunteer coach at Louisiana Tech University where she focused on player development.
 

Additionally, she has coached at the youth level at Murphy Candler Park and most recently at Browns Mill Park, the same park she grew up playing in.
